Mercedes-Benz recalls 26 A220 vehicles over missing tyre information

Emmanuel Akosile | ConsumerConnect

Mercedes-Benz USA (MBUSA) is recalling 26 model year 2019 A220 cars, as labels containing tyre information are missing.

Certain labels containing important information such as tire pressure may not have been installed.

The automobile company stated the tyres inflated to an incorrect tyre pressure may be overloaded, and increase the risk of a crash while in motion.

In connection with what to do to correct the error, MBUSA will notify affected owners, and dealers will inspect the vehicle for the labels and apply them ─ as necessary ─ free of charge.

The current recall is expected to begin February 2, 2021, while vehicle owners may contact MBUSA Customer Service on (800) 367-6372.
