NCC congratulates Tinubu at 74, lauds administration’s digital innovation blueprint for economy

On the occasion of his 74th Birthday Sunday, March 29, 2026, the Board, Management and Staff of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for his administration’s digital economy roadmap.

ConsumerConnect reports the NCC said President Tinubu at 74 had recorded a milestone, which apparently afforded the Commission an opportunity to celebrate him because of his unalloyed commitment to strategic directions in key sectors of the economy for national development.

The telecoms sector regulatory Commission also emphasised that President Tinubu strategically, has been leading the West African country.

In a special congratulatory birthday message to the President, Dr. Aminu Maida, Executive Vice-Chairman/Chief Executive Officer (EVC/CEO) of NCC, stated: “Your leadership continues to provide strategic directions for critical sectors of the Nigerian economy, including telecommunications where digital innovation remains one of the key drivers of national development.”

Maida also noted: “Under your administration, the emphasis on digital infrastructure and policy reforms has strengthened the democratic governance and economic transformation.

“As such, NCC remains aligned with your Renewed Hope Agenda and unflinching commitment to deepening broadband penetration, enhancing regulatory excellence and fostering a robust digital economy.”

The Commission further told Tinubu: “As you mark this special day, may you be blessed with more wisdom and good health to continue guiding the country towards greater unity, prosperity, and stability.

“We wish you many more years of impactful leadership. Congratulations, Your Excellency!
