The Nigerian Presidency has said the current administration-led tour of project sites by journalists across the country is to assess the extent of work done and adherence to specifications.

ConsumerConnect reports Mr. Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, stated this Thursday, April 30, 2026, while fielding questions from reporters, in Kaduna, Northern Nigeria.

The Presidential media aide also emphasised that the tour was aimed at ensuring accountability, and documenting progress for public awareness.

Onanuga explained: “I think every government must endeavour to blow its trumpet.

“What we have done is to showcase what the president has done in the last two years and seven months of his administration.

“The government has done a lot of things.”

He averred: “I believe now you have seen for yourselves that a lot of projects are going on, and these are just about road constructions.

“There are other things that this government has been busy working on in these last few years.”

Onanuga further stressed that the project reflected President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s unwavering commitment to modernising Nigeria’s transport infrastructure.

President is doing this through durable and cost-effective engineering solutions across the West African country, said the Presidential media aide.
