As the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) intensifies consumer education and sensitisation campaign for protection of Critical National Information Infrastructure (CNII), the Association of Licensed Telecommunications Operators of Nigeria (ALTON) has applauded the Ogun State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) for outstanding performance in protecting telecoms infrastructure across the state.

Engr. Gbenga Adebayo, Chairman of ALTON, gave the commendation during a courtesy visit to the Ogun State Command Headquarters in Abeokuta recently.

ConsumerConnect learnt the Chairman of ALTON hailed the Command for its professionalism, rapid response, and intelligence-led operations, noting that Ogun State currently records the lowest incidents of vandalisation, fibre cuts, and damages to telecom installations nationwide.

Adebayo attributed the achievement to the commitment and leadership of the Ogun State Commandant, Remilekun Omolade Ekundayo, and the dedicated officers and personnel under her command.

Acknowledging the efforts of the Officers and Men of the NSCDC Command, he stated: “We appreciate the outstanding work she and her team continue to do” in ensuring the protection of the country’s Critical National Information Infrastructure.
