Nissan recalls 12,400 Rogue, Pathfinder, Infiniti QX60s vehicles over unsecured driver’s seat

Emmanuel Akosile | ConsumerConnect

Nissan North America is recalling 12,400 model year 2023 Rogues, Pathfinders and Infiniti QX60s.

The automobile manufacturer disclosed the driver’s powered seat may not be fully secured to the seat frame, causing the seat frame welds to detach from the rear inboard seat bracket.

Nissan also noted that an unsecured seat with broken welds may not properly restrain an occupant in a crash, increasing the risk of injury to consumers.

In connection with what to do in addressing the defect, the company said the dealers would inspect the driver’s seat rail clearance, and — if necessary — replace the driver’s seat cushion frame free of charge.

Owners will be notified of the defect by mail starting June 10, 2023, agency report said.

Affected vehicle owners may contact Nissan’s Customer Service on (800) 867-7669.

Nissan’s number for this recall also is PC966, PC967.
