The Lagos State Government (LASG) has announced the  rehabilitation work involving the repair of identified failed/peeled asphaltic sections of the popular 3rd Mainland Bridge Sunday, April 2, 2023.

Dr. Frederic Oladeinde, Lagos State Honourable Commissioner for Transportation, in a statement issued Saturday, in Lagos, disclosed traffic diversion plans for the rehabilitation process occurring between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Citing the readiness of the Lagos State Public Works Corporation to carry out the project, Oladeinde disclosed the vehicular traffic would be diverted from one lane to another lane at the identified failed asphaltic sections on the bridge during the repairs.

The Commissioner also stated this move is expedient in order to solve tailbacks along the bridge at the peak periods as a result of the failed sections.

The LASG further assured Lagosians that the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) would be “fully” on the ground to direct traffic to ameliorate the inconveniences.

Oladeinde, therefore, urged motorists to be patient as the measures being taken to provide quality and safe road infrastructure for everyone  in the cosmopolitan state, in Nigeria.
