For personal safety, the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has  warned consumers who have an AIQRZBI or IGIA hand-held hair dryer brush in their bathrooms to unplug them, and stop using them again.

The affected products are a combination of a hair dryer and hair brush.

It was learnt the regulatory agency said the products present an electrocution hazard to consumers.

However, despite the threat, there is no recall so far for the products, report said.

The CPSC also noted the hair dryer brushes could lack an immersion protection device that prevents electrocution by shutting off the device, if it gets immersed in, or otherwise contacts, water.

The Commission stated it had determined that hair dryers lacking required integral immersion protection present substantial product hazards.

According to CPSC, when turned on, air enters at the base of the handle, a heating element warms the air, and the air exits through openings along the length of the hairbrush.

The body of the unit contains a dial at the base of the handle with settings, OFF, LOW, MIDDLE and HIGH.

The products are designed to straighten, curl and wave hair.

AIQRZBI or IGIA are printed on the hair dryer brush handles.
