Nigeria records 296 new COVID-19 cases, 12 deaths ─NCDC

*The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control announces it has confirmed a total of 192,943 discharged cases with 2,689 deaths across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory thus far

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has recorded 296 fresh cases of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) infections and 12 deaths across the country.

The health protection agency, in its update Monday, September 27, 2021, noted that the country has recorded a total of 204,752 cases of the damaging virus.

According to the tally the agency published, the record has confirmed a total of 192,943 discharged cases while 2,689 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

Rivers State had an increase in cases with 63, Lagos 49 and FCT 47.

NCDC stated others are Osun (37), Edo (29), Plateau (18), Gombe (14), Nasarawa (12), Delta (10), Benue (5), Kano (5), Bayelsa (3), Oyo (2), Bauchi (1), and Ekiti (1).
