Chrysler recalls 18,800 Jeep Cherokee vehicles over leaky oil cooler hose

Chrysler is recalling 18,800 model year 2021 Jeep Cherokee vehicles.

The transmission oil cooler hose may have been incorrectly cured, allowing transmission fluid to leak and increasing the risk of a fire.

In connection with what to do, the company says dealers will inspect and replace the hose free of charge.

Affected owners’ notification letters are expected to be mailed June 23, 2021.

Owners may contact Chrysler Customer Service on (800) 853-1403, and Chrysler’s number for this recall is Y18.
