As part of practical measures towards curtailing the spread of the reportedly more damaging second wave of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in the state, the Lagos State Government (LASG) has asked the Civil Servants to stay at home till February 1, 2021.

This is sequel to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s approval of a further extension of the work-from-home order on Grade Levels 14 and below from Monday, January 18, 2021, to Monday, February 1, 2021.

Mr. Hakeem Muri-Okunola, Head of Service of LASG, in a statement Saturday, January 16, noted that the directive, however, excludes staff on essential duty as well as First Responders across the state.

The State Head of Service urged all public servants to stay safe and ensure continued observance of all COVID-19 protocols for physical distancing, use of nose masks, regular washing of hands with soap and running water as well as the use of hand sanitisers.

Muri-Okunola said the weekly duty rosters should be maintained for effective service delivery by Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) of the state government.
