According to the automobile manufacturer, the low-pressure fuel pump inside the fuel tank may fail while a vehicle is in motion.

If the fuel pump fails while the vehicle is being driven, the engine can stall increasing the risk of a crash, said Toyota.

In connection with what to do, Toyota will notify affected car owners, and dealers will replace the fuel pump assembly with an improved one free of charge.

The current recall is expected to begin December 23, 2020, and vehicle owners may contact Toyota Customer Service on (800) 442-8696.
