Land Rover recalls 21,834 Range Rover Sport cars over faulty spoiler

*Rear spoiler may detach from the vehicle, increasing risk of a crash

Automobile manufacturer Land Rover is recalling 21,834 model year 2010-2011 Range Rover Sport vehicles.

ConsumerConnect reports the upper cover on the rear spoiler may detach from the vehicle.

According to the company, if the spoiler detaches while the vehicle is being driven, it can become a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash in the process.

As regards what to do in correcting the error, Land Rover stated it would notify affected car owners, and dealers will apply a new adhesive to secure the upper spoiler cover free of charge.

The current recall is expected to begin November 30, 2020.

Meanwhile, vehicle owners may contact Land Rover Customer Service on (800) 369-1000, while Land Rover’s number for this recall is N499.
