GM recalls 5 Chevrolet Corvette cars over faulty seat belt retractor

*Driver’s seat belt retractor may not lock

General Motors (GM) is recalling five model year 2020 Chevrolet Corvette vehicles.

According to the company, the driver’s seat belt retractor may not lock as intended during a crash.

Failure of the driver’s seat belt to lock increases the risk of injury.

In connection with what to do in rectifying the error, GM will notify the affected owners, and dealers will replace the driver’s side seat-belt retractor free of charge.

The recall is expected to begin on November 9, 2020.
