Volkswagen recalls 5 Tiguan LWB cars over seat belt anchor bolts

*Third row seat belt anchor bolts may not have been properly torqued

Volkswagen Group of America is recalling five model year 2020 Tiguan LWBs.

ConsumerConnect gathered that the third row seat belt anchor bolts may not have been properly torqued.

According to the company, improperly torqued bolts may prevent the third row seat belt from performing as designed in a crash, increasing the risk of injury to the occupant.

In connection with what to do in rectifying the error, it was learnt no one should occupy the third row seat due to the safety risk.

Volkswagen will notify owners and will repurchase the vehicles, report said.
The recall was expected to begin October 2, 2020.

Meanwhile, affected car owners may contact Volkswagen Customer Service on (800) 893-5298, and Volkswagen number for this recall is 69BA.
