Imports: 20 Ships offloading petrol, foodstuffs, others at Lagos seaport, says NPA

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) says 20 ships are currently discharging petroleum products and foodstuffs at the Lagos seaports.

The agency disclosed this in its publication titled, ‘Shipping Position’, Tuesday, September 29, 2020, in Lagos.

The NPA listed the contents of the ships as general cargo, bulk wheat, petrol, frozen fish, bulk gypsum, butane gas, maize, bulk sugar and containers.

According to the document, 12 other ships had arrived the ports, waiting to berth with containers, bulk wheat, petrol and bulk salt.

The agency noted that it is expecting 16 other ships with petroleum products, food items and other goods between September 29 and October 6.

The ships would be transporting bulk wheat, bulk sugar, frozen fish, maize, soya beans, petrol, containers and general cargo.

It said that “they are expected to arrive at the Lagos Port Complex.”
