The Ford Motor Company is currently recalling 29 model year 2020 Explorer vehicles.

According to the auto manufacturing company, the vehicles were equipped with second row centre seat belt buckles that may not be properly secured to the seat.

Vehicles with seat belt buckles that are not properly secured may fail to restrain an occupant in a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

It was learnt that in connection with what to do in rectifying the error, Ford will notify the affected car owners, and dealers will replace the second row center seat assembly free of charge.

The recall is expected to begin November 2, 2020, and owners may contact Ford Customer Service on (866) 436-7332.

Ford’s number for this recall is 20S50.
