Sequel to reported several cases of incessant, mysterious killing of Nigerians and their   continued safety in the country, Mrs. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), has cautioned parents and guardians against sending their children to schools in Northern Cyprus.

Mrs. Dabiri-Erewa disclosed this Monday when she received a delegation in her office, led by Justice Amina Bello, mother of Ibrahim Khaleel, a Nigerian student who was purportedly killed in that country, says agency report.

The Chairman of NIDCOM urged parents and guardians to be weary of sending their wards to Northern Cyprus because the country is not recognised by the United Nations (UN).

According to her, Nigeria has no diplomatic ties with that country.

Dabiri-Erewa, however, insisted that Northern Cyprus should be blacklisted, in view of a considerable number of Nigerian students who have died mysteriously in the country without any prosecution or compensation whatsoever.

“The time has come for us to blacklist all these universities in Northern Cyprus, and advise our students from seeking any form of admission there as it portends danger to their lives and future,” she warned.
