NCC gets legislative approval for N479.508bn Budget 2026 –Official

The Nigerian House of Representatives, in the National Assembly (NASS), Abuja, FCT, during the plenary Tuesday, May 5, 2026, approved total N479.508 billion as Budget 2026 for the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC).

ConsumerConnect reports the House of Reps’ approval for the Commission’s budget for this year followed the members’ resolution passed after the clause-by-clause consideration of the report at the Committee of Supply.

Giving the synopsis of the report, Chairman, Hon. Peter Akpatason, Chairman of the House Committee on Communications, affirmed that a total sum of N479,508,260,000 would be issued from the Statutory Revenue Fund of the Nigerian Communications Commission.

Of the total issued figure, N124,440,652,000 is meant for Recurrent Expenditure; N26,779,045,000 is for Capital Expenditure; N32,011,492,000 is for Special Projects, while N20 billion is meant for Transfer to Universal Service Provision Fund (USPF).

Likewise, N276,277,071,000 of the total approved budget is for Transfer to Federal Government for the financial year ending December 31, 2026.
