The University, fondly called “Great Ife” by both students and friends of the University, in a message via its verified social media account, also noted the digital platform enables consumers to send, receive, and manage money through chat or voice commands, removing the need to navigate complex banking applications, especially in the Nigerian financial ecosystem.

The OAU stated: “The platform supports multiple currencies, including Naira (NGN), US Dollars (USD), and stablecoins, and is being built to function across different literacy levels.

“Users can interact with Fluxt in local languages such as Yoruba, Hausa, and Igbo, as well as English, making it accessible to a wider population.”

As regards the central benefits of the digital platform, Fluxt is focused on solving the problem of financial exclusion and complexity, particularly in emerging markets where over 1.7 billion people remain underserved or excluded from formal financial systems.
