BPP holds stakeholder engagements with contractors, service providers in Lagos and Kano

The Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP) has stated its readiness to host this year’s stakeholders’ forums, to engage contractors, consultants, service providers, and other key stakeholders in Nigeria’s public procurement ecosystem in Kano and Lagos States.

Zira Nagga, Head of Press and Public Relations of BPP, in a statement issued Friday, February 13, 2026, in Abuja, FCT, said that the meetings would be held from February 17 to February 26 in Kano and Lagos.

Nagga said the meetings aimed to discuss the Methodology for Assessing Procurement Systems (MAPS) framework, and its role in strengthening public procurement processes in Nigeria.

The statement also noted: “The objectives of the meetings include engaging contractors, consultants, service providers, and civil society organisations in a dialogue on the MAPS framework and its benefits for Nigeria’s procurement system.

“It will also provide opportunities for stakeholders to offer feedback and input on the development of a National Procurement Strategy.”

The Head of Press and Public Relations of BPP, also said the meetings would align Nigeria’s procurement reform agenda with the role of every stakeholder in its successful implementation.

Nagga further listed participants expected at the meetings to include representatives of government institutions, private-sector operators, professional bodies, civil society organisations, and development partners involved in procurement oversight, advocacy, and service delivery in the economy.
