Nigerian First Lady (Senator) Oluremi Tinubu, CON, has extolled the legacy of late Chief Adekunle Ojora, a foremost industrialist and devout Muslim, who consistently promoted religious harmony in the country.

The First Lady stated this during a condolence visit to the family of the deceased in Ikoyi, Lagos State.

During the visit, Dr. Toyin Saraki, daughter of the deceased, and her husband, former Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki received the First Lady.

Saturday, February 14, 2026, in a statement indicated First Lady Oluremi Tinubu said: “You have always been in my mind and that of the president.

“We cannot forget him. He was always there with us as a family. This is also my family.

“We will miss him, his wise counsel, support and great role he played in times past.”

The statement noted the First Lady, on behalf of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and herself, offered words of comfort to the widow of the deceased, Erelu Ojuolape Ojora, who she commended for standing strong as the matriarch of the family.

She also stated: “Your relationship as a couple was an inspiration to many of us.

“We see you and him and many wish to have that sort of bond.”

Recalling her several encounters with the deceased at church services, despite being a devout Muslim, Senator Oluremi Tinubu said the Ojora family has a lot to be proud of in the legacies of late Otunba of Lagos.

According to her, the deceased not only distinguished himself as an industrialist but also as a promoter of religious harmony in words and deeds.

The members of the Ojora family, led by the matriarch, appreciated the First Lady for the visit, as the wife late Otunba Ojora prayed for the success of President Bola Tinubu and his wife.

Late Chief Adekunle Ojora died January 28, 2026 at the age of 93, and has since been buried according to Islamic rites, the statement added.
