As part of measures to curb the spread of the novel Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Lagos State as the epicentre of the pandemic in particular and Nigeria at large, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has commissioned the first indigenous medical nose masks factory in Lagos.

ConsumerConnect reports Governor Sanwo-Olu performed the commissioning of the new factory for production of ‘O Care’ masks, owned by Transerve Disc Technology Limited, a local manufacturing company located in Odofin Park Estate, along Apapa-Oshodi Expressway, at Amuwo Odofin, Lagos, Thursday, July 30, 2020.

The State Ministry of Health, in a tweet via its verified Twitter account, disclosed that Prof. Akin Abayomi, Honourable Commissioner for Health, Lagos State, accompanied the governor to the occasion.

In recent times, the Nigerian Government especially through the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19, many states of the Federation, other authorities, and several organisations have continued to emphasise the importance of the use of nose masks by Nigerians, in especially public spaces so as to limit the spread of the virus among the populace.
