Mercedes-Benz USA (MBUSA) is recalling 88 model year 2020 C300s, E350s and GLC300s with turbocharged 4-cylinder gasoline engines.

It was learnt that the screws that retain the turbocharger oil feed and return lines might not have been tightened properly, possibly resulting in an oil leak the models.

An oil leak in the presence of an ignition source such as hot engine or exhaust components can increase the risk of a fire.

On the essential step to rectify the error, MBUSA will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the turbocharger oil lines and tighten them, as necessary free of charge.

The recall is expected to begin August 21, 2020.

Meanwhile, owners may contact MBUSA customer service on (800) 367-6372.
