BEEP 2025: NITDA urges businesses, entrepreneurs to leverage e-commerce, digital tools for marked growth

The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) has emphasised the power of technology and digital platforms in transforming local businesses into global enterprises.

NITDA has continued to encourage Nigerian businesses and entrepreneurs to leverage e-commerce, digital tools and innovation to grow beyond their physical and geographic limitations.

ConsumerConnect reports Malam Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, CCIE, Director-General of stated this in his keynote address as a major participant in the recent Bayelsa State E-Commerce Entrepreneurship Programme (BEEP) 2025, held in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, South-South region.

Inuwa, in his address, particularly stressed the strategic significance of leveraging technology and digital platforms in transforming local businesses into global enterprises.

The agency said Director-General also encouraged business owners and entrepreneurs to adopt e-commerce, digital tools and innovation to grow beyond physical and geographic limitations.

Inuwa as well shared insights on customer engagement, product marketing, and launching lean, tech-driven startups in the country’s digital ecosystem.

He used the occasion to highlight NITDA’s initiatives that align with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda for inclusive economic growth in the Nigerian economy.

As the landmark event approaches, the Director-General of the Information Technology (IT) sector regulatory agency invited entrepreneurs in Bayelsa State to participate in “GITEX Nigeria” for global exposure.

One of the highlights of the BEEP 2025 was Governor Diri of Bayelsa State’s awarding N250 million and N500 million interest-free loans to two standout innovators.

Governor Diri also announced plans for an IT knowledge centre in partnership with NITDA, to strengthen Bayelsa’s future as a digital hub in the country, said the agency.
