Ford Motor Company is recalling 2,620 model year 2020 Ford Expeditions and Lincoln Navigators.

ConsumerConnect reports the automobile manufacturing giant stated that the attachment bracket for the driver’s side second-row seat headrest may not have been sufficiently welded to the seat frame.

An improperly welded headrest bracket may have reduced strength and may not adequately restrain an occupant in a crash, increasing the risk of injury, according to the company.

On what affected automobile consumers should to do, Ford says it will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the seat structure and replace it, as needed, free of charge.

This recall is expected to begin July 6, 2020.

Vehicle owners may contact Ford Customer Service on (866) 436-7332, while the company’s number for this recall is 20C12.
