Digital Economy: Nigerian Government explores solutions to e-commerce logistical barriers

The Federal Government is consolidating measures towards the Nigeria Digital Economy agenda for sustainable growth and development.

ConsumerConnect reports Dr. ’Bosun Tijani, Honourable Minister for Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, who stated this said stakeholders would work together towards building a stronger foundation for a $1 trillion economy in the West African country.

Tijani, in a recent blog note via his verified social media account, noted: “As we reimagine the operations and efficiency of the Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST), I am looking forward to engaging with stakeholders on February 5th, 2025 at a co-creation session.

The Minister disclosed the theme of the form with the stakeholders, including the Office for Nigerian Digital Innovation (ONDI), National Informational Technology Development Agency (NITDA), and Glovo, is: “Accelerating E-commerce through Digital and Physical Infrastructure Integration”.

He also assured: “Together with industry leaders, policymakers and other stakeholders we will explore solutions to Nigeria’s e-commerce logistical barriers as we work towards a stronger foundation for a $1 trillion economy.”
