Zenith Bank addresses customers on online service interruptions, IT infrastructure upgrade

Following the extensive service disruptions several consumers of financial products and services experienced on online channels of the financial institution, Zenith Bank Plc has announced that it has made significant progress with its Information Technology (IT) infrastructure upgrade.

ConsumerConnect reports the major Nigerian bank, Thursday, October 3, 2024, in a communication subsequently, apologised for the inconvenience caused millions of consumers during the process.

It is recalled that after bank’s notification that its IT system would undergo maintenance from September 29 to October 1, 2024, most of the bank’s customers took to social media platforms to express their frustrations over difficulties with online banking transactions days after.

However, in assuaging consumers’ expressed frustrations while giving an update Thursday, Zenith Bank in a statement, assured its customers that they could “access their accounts, make transactions, and enjoy banking services.”

The bank stated: “Dear Valued Customer, we sincerely apologise for the service disruptions you experienced recently on our banking channels.

“This was due to an Information Technology upgrade aimed at improving the quality of service we provide you.”

Customers can now “perform transactions conveniently” through various banking channels, including its mobile app, Internet banking platform, debit card, agent banking, and branches nationwide, Zenith Bank assured.
