The Federal Government has announced the expansion of its Build-A-Thon programme to 14 states across the Federation.

ConsumerConnect reports Dr. ’Bosun Tijani, Honourable Minister for Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, who announced this Thursday, August 15, 2024, said the digital training platform is designed to introduce young students between 10 and 18 years to “embedded systems and emerging technologies” in the country’s digital ecosystem.

Registration for the Build-A-Thon progamme is scheduled to begin August 19, 2024, and end August 30.

Dr. Tijani stated: “I am really looking forward to this new instalment of our Build-A-Thon programme, where we introduce young students between 10 and 18 years to embedded systems and emerging technologies.”

The Minister also noted that following a successful pilot January this year with just three states, the Federal Government has now “expanded the programme to 14 states across Nigeria.”

“Thankful to our passionate Trainers, some of whom are fellows from our 3MTT Nigeria programme, as they get ready to impact young minds across the country,” stated he.
