Following an earlier report of a fire outbreak at the multibillion Dollar Dangote Petroleum Refinery located in Lagos, the Management Wednesday, June 26, 2024, says the company has contained the minor fire at its Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP).

Anthony Chiejina, Group Chief Branding and Communications Officer of Dangote Industries Limited (DIL), reacting to the development in a terse statement issued Wednesday, said: “We have swiftly contained a minor fire incident at our effluent treatment plant (ETP), today Wednesday, 26th of June.”

Chiejina stated: “There is no cause for alarm as the refinery is operating, and there is no recorded injury or body harm to any of our staff on duty.”
