Dangote Petroleum Refinery reduces Diesel price to N1,000 per litre

*Dangote Petroleum Refinery announces further reduction of Diesel price from N1,200 to N1,000 per litre, stating the move is expected to positively affect all the spheres of the Nigerian economy, and ultimately, reduce the current high inflationary rate in the West African country

In the company’s effort at enhancing economic activities while supporting the Nigerian authorities’ moves at reducing inflation, Dangote Petroleum Refinery, based in Lagos, has announced further reduction of the price of Diesel from N1,200 to N1,000 per litre.

Dangote Group disclosed this development in a statement issued late Tuesday, April 16, 2024, said while rolling out the products, the oil refinery supplied at a substantially reduced price of N1,200 per litre three weeks ago.

The conglomerate noted this represents over 30 per cent reduction from the previous market price of about N1,600 per litre in the West African country.

The statement reads in part: “This significant reduction in the price of diesel at Dangote Petroleum Refinery, is expected to positively affect all the spheres of the economy, and ultimately, reduce the high inflation rate in the country.”
