Plateau Governor, group congratulate new NCC Executive Commissioners

Governor (Barr.) Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang of Plateau State has congratulated Ms. Rimini Makama and Engr. Abraham Oshadami on their recent appointments as Executive Commissioners at the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC).

ConsumerConnect reports Makama will serve as the Executive Commissioner, Stakeholder Management (ECSM), while Engr. Oshadami will be the Executive Commissioner, Technical Services (ECTS), at the telecoms sector regulatory Commission.

It is recalled President Bola Ahmed Tinubu recently announced the approval of their appointments to join the Board of Commissioners of NCC.

Gyang Bere, Director of Press and Public Affairs to Governor of Plateau State, in a statement issued Sunday, February 25, 2024, noted Governor Mutfwang, in a congratulatory message, applauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for selecting the duo, whom he said had “done remarkably well” in the communications industry, to drive the quest for the attainment of the Nigeria Digital Economy.

Mutfwang also urged them to use their wealth of experience to help the country in overcoming its current economic challenges.

The Plateau State Governor further described Makama, a native of Jos, Plateau State and graduate of the University of Jos (UNIJOS), as an internationally experienced Senior Executive, “known for her talent in building trusted advisor relationships with governments across the globe.”

She has also been described as a lawyer by training, seasoned administrator and project manager armed with extensive experience in public policy, public affairs, governmental affairs, Artificial Intelligence (AI) policy.

The Director of Press and Public Affairs stated Governor Mutfwang therefore, expressed confidence that Makama and Oshadami would excel in their new roles.

He also urged them to uphold Plateau’s virtues of love, selflessness, patriotism, peace, unity and commitment to excellent service delivery in their new appointments.

The statement noted the governor, “on behalf of himself, the government and the good people of Plateau State, extended his deepest felicitations to the new NCC commissioners and wished them a remarkable tenure.”

Appreciation to President Tinubu for finding Oshadami worthy -AGDA

Meanwhile, the Ayetoro Gbede Development Association (AGDA), in Kogi State, has also congratulated Engr. Oshadami on his appointment as the Executive Commissioner, Technical Services at NCC.

Comrade Olorunmaiye Samuel, President of AGDA, in a recent blogpost stated: “I write to congratulate Mr. Abraham Oshadami on his recent appointment by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as Federal Commissioner, NCC.

“Ayetoro Gbede and her citizens know that you would do well as Commissioner, and we also thank President Tinubu for finding you worthy.”

The AGDA President also noted: “We enjoin you to bring on board your exceptional skills, dedication, commitment and unwavering commitment to public service in your new role.

“We, therefore, appeal to you sir, to be a good ambassador of Ayetoro Gbede and make use of your new office to decorate Ayetoro Gbede, ‘because to whom much is given, much is expected.’ ”

Olorunmaiye stated: “Your appointment is a reflection of your outstanding capabilities and the trust and confidence placed in you by our President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led Federal Government.

“We have no doubt that you will bring your exceptional skills, vision, and unwavering integrity to this pivotal role.”

AGDA added: “Your tireless efforts at promoting excellence and fostering growth have left an indelible mark in NCC, Ayetoro Gbede and Nigeria at large.

“We are very confident that you will continue to serve as a beacon of wisdom, integrity and vision.”
