President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, has restated the need for the 48 Ministers and other members of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) to work hard, as the expectations of Nigerians are very high, and underperformance will not be tolerated.

ConsumerConnect reports President Tinubu hinted at this Monday, October 15, 2023, while presiding over his second FEC meeting since his Presidential inauguration Monday, May 29 this year.

At the first FEC meeting August 28, Tinubu swore in and inaugurated 45 Ministers who attended the maiden cabinet meeting in the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa, in Abuja.

The President, at the session, also swore in the three newly appointed Ministers, including Mrs. Jamila Bio-Ibrahim (Kwara State); Balarabe Lawal (Kaduna State); and Ayodele Olawande (Ondo State).

The Ministers were assigned the following portfolios as follows: Jamila Bio-Ibrahim – Minister for Youths; Ayodele Olawande, Minister of State for Youths; and Balarabe Lawal as the Minister for Environment.

The brief swearing-in ceremony took place at the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa, Abuja, FCT, before the commencement of the FEC.

Recall the Senate earlier had screened the three new Ministers October 4 this year before the were sworn in by Tinubu

The trio will now join the 45 other Ministers, who were earlier screened and approved by the Upper Legislative (Red) Chamber August this year.
