May 29: Buhari chairs valedictory session at FEC meeting in State House

*President Muhammadu Buhari chairs the valedictory session of the Federal Executive Council in the State House, Abuja, before official cabinet dissolution and Ministers’ handing over to Permanent Secretaries in their respective government ministries

In preparation for the Presidential inauguration of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, President-elect, President Muhammadu Buhari chaired the valedictory session as members of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) Wednesday, May 24, 2023,  converged on the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa, in Abuja, FCT.

Consumer reports Vice-President (Prof.) Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, and all 44 Ministers and Ministers of State were in attendance as the President commenced the swearing-in seven Federal Commissioners of the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC).

The FEC is also expected to adopt the conclusions of the last three of its meetings, comprising two extraordinary meetings and a regular meeting.

Buhari is also expected to officially dissolve the cabinet, after which an opportunity would be given for speeches and encomiums by each of the outgoing Ministers.

Besides, after the official cabinet dissolution, the Ministers are expected to hand over to the Permanent Secretaries in their respective Ministries.
