Ford Motor Company is recalling 1,280,726 model year 2013-2018 Ford Fusions and Lincoln MKZs.

The automobile manufacturer said the front brake hoses may rupture and leak brake fluid.

Ford explained a brake fluid leak increases brake pedal travel and extends the distance needed to stop the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

As regards what to do in rectifying the problem, the company

said dealers would replace the front brake hoses, free of charge.

Ford will mail interim letters notifying owners of the safety risk April 17, 2023.

Also, second letters will be mailed once parts are available, ConsumerAffairs report noted.
