Hyundai recalls 16,104 Tucson, Santa Cruz vehicles over loose roof moldings

Hyundai Motor America is recalling 16,104 model year 2022 Tucson and model year 2022-2023 Santa Cruz vehicles.

The automobile manufacturer said the roof moldings of the affected vehicles may detach and become a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash.

In connection with what to do in addressing the defect, the company stated that dealers would inspect and replace, or secure the roof moldings — as necessary — free of charge.

Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed April 1, 2023.
