Nissan recalls 125,000 Rogue vehicles over defective harness connector, posing fire risk

Nissan North America is recalling 125,215 model year 2017 Rogues.

Nissan said water might leak into, and corrode the dash side harness connector of the affected vehicles.

The company stated that a corroded dash side harness connector increases the risk of a fire, according to agency report.

In regard to what consumers should do to correct the defect, Nissan North America said that dealers would apply grease and repair any corroded connector — as necessary – free of charge.

Notification letters are expected to be mailed to owners January 20, 2023.

Affected vehicle owners may contact Nissan’s Customer Service on (800) 867-7669.

Nissan’s number for this recall is PC934.
