Emmanuel Akosile | ConsumerConnect

Audi is recalling 50,883 model year 2020-2022 Audi S7s, S6 Sedans, A6 Allroads, model year 2021-2022 RS7s, RS6 Avants, and model year 2019-2022 A7s, & A6 Sedans.

The automobile manufacturer said liquid spilled in the rear seat may penetrate and cause the gateway control module to shut down.

A gateway control module shutdown will suddenly reduce engine power, increasing the risk of a crash, agency report stated.

In respect of what to do to rectify the fault, Audi noted that dealers would install a protective cover free of charge.

Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed January 20, 2023.

Affected vehicle owners may contact Audi’s Customer Service on (800) 253-2834.

Audi’s number for this recall is 90V2.
