*President Muhammadu Buhari has reportedly sacked Brigadier-General Mohammed Fadah, Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps, barely six months after his appointment as May 2022

President Muhammadu Buhari has reportedly dismissed Brigadier-General Mohammed Fadah, Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).

Fadah’s removal comes only six months after his appointment as the Director-General of NYSC May 2022.

Sources disclosed President Buhari took the  decision to sack Farah Thursday, November 17, 2022.

However, Eddy Megwa, Spokesman of NYSC, said any enquiry should await an official statement that would be issued on the development Friday, November 18, The Punch report said.

Hitherto, Brigadier-General Mohammed Fadah’s plans for the NYSC at the time of his appointment had included “improvement of security and welfare of corps members; enhancement of staff welfare; and improving the gains of NYSC ventures”.

Other areas in his plans as the Director-General are “sustaining the digitisation of the operations of the scheme; and deepening NYSC’s impact on rural development through community development service.”

It was learnt that Fadah was asked to hand over to the most senior official in the NYSC.

The official who takes over from him will act as an  pending the announcement of a new appointment, according to report.
