As the West African country commemorates this year’s Democracy Day, President Muhammadu Buhari has addressed the nation via a live broadcast at 7:00 a.m. Sunday, June 12, 2022.

ConsumerConnect reports Alhaji Lai Mohammed, Honourable Minister for Information and Culture, earlier Saturday had disclosed this development during a morning briefing at a radio house, in Abuja, FCT.

The Minister, who announced detailed activities to mark the 2022 Democracy Day celebration, said that the nationwide broadcast would be centred on the celebration of Democracy Day June 12.

Mohammed also listed some of the activities lined up for the Democracy celebration to include a public lecture at the National Mosque on Friday and Jumat prayers on the same date and venue.

According to him, that would be followed by the President’s address and a church service at the National Christian Centre at 3 p.m. Sunday.

There will also be a Democracy Day parade in the morning Monday, June 13, at the Eagle Square, in Abuja.

He further assured Nigerians that all events would be held, and there would be no security breaches.
