Ahead of the Presidential primary of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, a now-deleted poll conducted by TVC, a Nigerian-based broadcast company, had tipped Vice-President (Prof.) Yemi Osinbajo as the favourite for the party’s ticket.

TVC, with the headquarters, in Lagos, is reportedly owned by Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, a former Lagos State Governor and APC Presidential aspirant.

It was gathered that the television station, on its official handle Wednesday, June 1, 2022, conducted an APC primary-themed poll.

The broadcast outfit had asked: “Now that Atiku has emerged as PDP presidential candidate, who should APC field as its flagbearer?”

Report indicated that Rt. Hon. Rotimi Amaechi, the immediate past Minister for Transportation; Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo; incumbent Senate President Ahmad Lawan, and the APC National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu were listed.

However, it was discovered that after 1,721 people had voted, with Osinbajo leading with 43% of the votes cast, followed by Tinubu with 40%, Amaechi with 8%, and Lawan with 9% of the total votes cast, the tweet was later deleted.

Likewise, a Twitter handle “@BiggDaaddyy1” known to be a dogged follower of the Asiwaju camp, and who was simultaneously hosting a Twitter space, had to delete his poll which also asked the audience this: “Refusing Bola Tinubu APC ticket is a betrayal, YES or NO?”

From the the poll also, a total of 1,763 people, and 73 voted NO and only 27% voted YES.
