Osinbajo, Tinubu in Lagos as Akande hosts APC South-West meeting for presidential aspirants

*The elders of the ruling All Progressives Congress host leading presidential aspirants in in Lagos in an effort at ensuring the 2023 electioneering is devoid of hostility

Vice-President (Prof.) Yemi Osinbajo alongside other 2023 presidential aspirants, notable among them, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, National Leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), met Friday, may 6, 2022, in Lagos.

The leading aspirants were hosted in Lagos by the APC elders in an effort at ensuring the 2023 electioneering is devoid of hostility, according to report.

It was gathered that the meeting was convened by Chief Bisi Akande, the first Chairman of All Progressives Congress, and Chief Segun Osoba, a former Governor of Ogun State, both of whom served as Co-Conveners of the forum.

Present at the meeting were Vice-President (Prof.) Osinbajo, former Lagos State Governor, Asiwaju Tinubu and Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State.

Also in the meeting, apart from the aspirants were the former Governor of Lagos State and Works and Housing Minister, Mr. Babatunde Fashola; Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, Chief Niyi Adebayo, Honourable Minister for Industry, Trade and Investment; Governors Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State, Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State and Adegboyega Oyetola of Osun State.

Others important personalities at the meeting are former Osun State Governor and Honourable Minister for Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, and Otunba Iyiola Omisore, APC National Secretary.

It is recalled that Prof. Osinbajo, Asiwaju Tinubu,  Pastor Tunde Bakare and Senator Ibikunle Amosun, all from the South-West geopolitical zone of the country, have picked their APC presidential nomination forms.
