General Motors recalls 740,000 GMC Terrain vehicles over defective headlights

General Motors (GM) has recalled 740,000 GMC Terrain vehicles over faulty headlight reflections.

The automobile manufacturer said a reflection caused by the headlight housings may illuminate areas above the vehicle and outside the driver’s view with excessively bright light.

GM stated that the bright reflection may cause a glare for other drivers, reducing their visibility and increasing the risk of a crash.

In regard to what to do in rectifying the defect, the company disclosed the remedy is currently under development, agency report stated.

Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed April 23, 2022.
