Afolabi Solebo Esq., General Manager of LASCOPA, in an invitation to the event noted that the stakeholder engagement would address the impact of new technologies on the financial services industry and the impact on consumers with several digital technology issues reshaping payments, lending, insurance and wealth management.

Solebo also said that the event would provide insights into one’s rights as consumers, make others aware of the right to demand protection and stay safe from fraudulent activities in the market place.

Acording to him, celebrating the day is also an avenue to demand that the rights of all consumers are respected and protected against market abuses and social injustice in the state.

The LASCOPA General Manager further disclosed that seasoned and expert facilitators in the banking and finance sector had been pencilled in to discuss the theme of the celebration at the event Tuesday.

Stakeholders in the banking sector, finance institutions, consumer movements, top government officials and relevant regulatory agencies are also expected to grace the event, said Solebo.
