Ghana Police arrest 11 Nigerian suspects for cyber fraud

*The Bole Police Command of the Ghana Police Service discloses a search conducted in the cybercrime suspects’ rooms led to the retrieval of 11 laptops and 13 mobile phones in two raids

The Ghana Police Service operatives have apprehended 11 Nigerians in two raids over the allegations of committing cybercrime.

The country’s Bole Police Command arrested nine suspects in the Savannah Region in one operation in Bole township, Joy Online reported Sunday, February 20, 2022.

It was gathered the Nigerians arrested include Kelechi Chukwudoluwe, 30; Ibeneme Precious, 20; Nelson Chinedu and Emmanuel Ifeanyi Chukwu, 23.

Others are are Chukwu Eneke George, 19; Chibuzor Nweke, and Mmaduabuchi Miracle, 20; Peter Eboh, 23, and Kwukwe Makachi, 30.

Bole Police Command said a search conducted in their rooms led to the retrieval of 11 laptops and 13 mobile phones.

The two others, Ugwu John, 21; and Samuel Chibueze, 25; were arrested during another operation in Sawaba, a suburb of Bole, report said.

According to the Police, laptops and mobile phones were recovered from them.

Also found in their possession were CFA2000, N1,500, two Airtel SIM Cards, a modem, two earphones, and a wallet containing GH¢25.
