Mercedes-Benz USA (MBUSA) is recalling 139 of the following vehicles with gasoline engines:

These are Model year 2019 AMG G63s, C300s, E300s, G550s, AMG GT63s & AMG GT53s, Model year 2019-2020 A220s, GLA250s & GLC300s.

Others are Model year 2016 C300s, 2020 AMG A35s, AMG C43s, AMG C63, CLA250s, E350s, E450s, GLB250s, GLE450s, GLS450s, GLS580s, S560s & SL550s.

The automobile manufacturer said particles may have been trapped between the fuel rail and injectors during the manufacturing process, which can cause a fuel leak.

MBUSA stated that fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source, such as a hot engine or exhaust components, could increase the risk of a fire.

In regard to what to do in rectifying the error, the company announced that dealers would  replace the fuel rail and fuel injectors free of charge.

Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed February 8, 2022.

Affected vehicle owners may contact MBUSA Customer Service on (800) 367-6372.
