Hyundai Motor America is recalling 76 model year 2021 Accent cars.

The automobile manufacturer said that the brake master cylinder may have been manufactured with sharp edges that can damage the inner oil seal, resulting in reduced braking performance.

It was learnt the reduced braking performance could cause longer brake pedal travel or extend the distance required to stop, increasing the risk of a crash.

In connection with what to do in correcting the error, the company stated that dealers would replace the brake master cylinder free of charge.

Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Friday, January 28, 2022.

Meanwhile, affectd vehicle owners may contact Hyundai Customer Service on (855) 371-9460, while Hyundai’s number for this recall is 213.
