The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that all candidates, clients and other members of the public below 18 years are not required to produce any COVID-19 vaccination cards before being allowed access to the exam regulator’s offices across the country.

ConsumerConnect reports Dr. Fabian Benjamin, Public Relations Officer (PRO) of JAMB, said this in a statement issued in Abuja, FCT.

Dr. Benjamin noted that whereas underage people can access the Board’s offices, they yet have to show proof that they are underage to check abuse in this regard.

The Federal Government, currently, has an extant policy debarring access to Federal institutions by consumers who have not taken the COVID-19 vaccinations.

But, the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) does not require people younger than age 18 to be vaccinated in Nigeria.

The exam regulatory agency’s statement also said: “All candidates, clients and other members of the public below the age of 18years are not required to produce any vaccination card before being allowed access to our facilities.
