Volkswagen Group of America is recalling 30 model year 2021 Atlas, Atlas Cross Sport, and Passat vehicles.

The automobile manufacturer said the front wheel bearing bolts may have been incorrectly tightened.

As a result, the bolts may loosen and cause a loss of control, increasing the risk of a crash, said Volkswagen Group.

In regard to what to do to correct the error, the company stated that dealers would inspect the tightness of the wheel bearing bolts and replace them, as necessary, free of charge, agency report said.

Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed December 14, 2021.
