Porsche recalls 11,827 Taycan vehicles over faulty hazard lights

Porsche Cars North America is recalling 11,827 model year 2020-2021 Taycan vehicles.

The automobile manufacturer disclosed pre-collision automatic hazard lights may activate in non-emergency situations.

According to Porsche Cars, an activation of hazard lights in non-emergency situations could confuse other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.

In regard to what to do in rectifying the error, the company stated that dealers would  reprogramme the hazard lights free of charge.

Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed December 13, 2021.

Meanwhile, affected vehicle owners may contact Porsche Customer Service on (800) 767-7243, and Porsche’s number for this recall is AMC1.
