For the Department of State Service (DSS) agents’ unlawful invasion of his property, an Oyo State High Court, sitting in Ibadan, the state capital, has ordered the Federal Government to pay Mr. Sunday Adeyemo, a.k.a. Sunday Igboho, a Yoruba nation agitator, a sum of N20billion as damages for illegitimate attacks on his residence.

Justice Ladiran Akintola awarded the sum Friday, September 17, 2021, as a compensation for the invasion of Igboho’s house, and for what the Court has described as ‘exemplary and aggravated damage’ done against the rights activist.

Igboho, through Yomi Alliyu, his lawyer, had filed a suit to challenge the invasion of his house in Ibadan, July 1 this year by operatives of the DSS.
